Why this role would be great for you
Based in the RISE service your role will be to provide an additional level of operational leadership in the service that ensures that staff are supported to grow and develop within their role. To support the Service Manager to carry out their duties in delivering a service of excellence.
What your week may look like
- Support the team to maintain the therapeutic integrity of the service
- Monitor the team’s contribution to the collection of rents and ensuring compliance of staff with the HB application process
- Collate data on the performance of the service
- Ensure the induction of new staff to the service
- To compile and collate monthly reports on KPI’s Maintain excellent communication with YM Management team
- Supervise the staff team assigned to you
Responsibilities to the Service Manager
- To compile and collate monthly reports on KPI’s
- Ensure YM complies with contractual requirements
- To give informed opinions and make recommendations regarding support, housing and HR issues that impact on the service, Residents and staff team.
- To make recommendations to the Support Manager on the development of the service which involve any financial commitments or alterations to service delivery
- Attend and meaningfully contribute to weekly communication meetings with the Support Manager, submitting reports on request
Representing You Matter
- Attend all meetings both internal and external
- Attend stakeholder days, forums and other external events
- Represent the YM at regional and national level from time to time
- Develop relationships with partner agencies, referral agencies and all other stakeholders
Line Management and HR responsibilities
- Support and develop the capacity and motivation of the team to deliver an innovative and high-quality support and housing service
- Monitor the team’s contribution to the collection of rents and ensuring compliance of staff with the HB application process and complex HB claims
- Collate data on the performance of the service and team and make recommendations to the Support Manager to ensure the service achieves its KPI’s
- Allocation of Residents to support workers to ensure the residents have the most appropriate support worker assigned
- Ensure the induction of new staff to the service
Working with Residents
- To carry a small caseload of residents in the absence of RRPs,
- Encourage involvement and participation from residents in the development, running and shaping of the service
- Support with the delivery of pre-engagement workshops

The skills were looking for
EXPERIENCE–
- Knowledge of working in a Therapeutic environment, Experience of working with addiction and mental health
- Experience of supporting individuals with complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse and housing instability
- Demonstrable leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience of adult safeguarding
- Experience of multi-agency and partnership working (e.g. CGL addiction services, Detox units, Probation and Prison system.
- Experience of risk assessment and safety planning
- Experience of resettlement or move-on into safe, independent accommodation
- Experience managing incidents, maintenance or health and safety concerns
- Experience leading or supporting a staff team in a high-risk environment
KNOWLEDGE –
- A strong working knowledge of addiction,
- Understanding of trauma-informed service
- Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children
- Understanding of complex needs including mental health, substance misuse and offending
- Excellent communication, engagement and interpersonal skills
- Strong administrative and case-recording skills
COMMUNICATION –
- Excellent communication skills and experience of working with multi-agencies.

- Experience of Trauma-Informed Care and psychologically informed environments (PIE)
- Experience of management or leadership within addiction services
- Knowledge and understanding of the safeguarding vulnerable adults
