Salary: £26,227.50 per annum (based on full time hours, pro rata for any other hours)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible full and part time hours available, bank shifts available)

As a Supportive Housekeeper at You Matter you will naturally be an empathetic and caring person wanting to provide high standards of cleanliness within our services for those experiencing Homelessness, Mental Health Difficulties, Rehabilitation and Trauma. Your role as a Supportive Housekeeper will be to provide a high standard of cleanliness within these services and across the Communities of You Matter.
You will have good attention to detail and will become part of a committed and supportive Housekeeping Team delivering a service that maintains clean and comfortable environments for all.

What your week may look like
Undertaking a range of domestic duties associated with the upkeep of services such as but not limited to
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors.
- Dusting and disinfecting work surfaces.
- Cleaning of internal doors, skirting boards, windows, walls and windowsills.
- Comprehensive cleaning of WC’s, kitchens, lounges, communal and wet areas.
- Replenishing consumables such as toilet rolls and paper towels.
- Ensure vacant flats/rooms are in readiness state for occupation.
- Monitoring stock levels of consumables, cleaning products and equipment and re-order when necessary.
- Work alongside people using our services and treat those with whom you meet in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Promote a supportive and inclusive culture within the service, valuing people and their diversity.
- Act on areas identified as needing improvement.
- Carry out duties and responsibilities in line with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Enhance your skills through learning & development.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults/children/young people who are at risk.
- Be flexible and responsive to the changing needs of the service, ensuring our SHREK values runs through all the work that you do.

The skills we are looking for
- EXPERIENCE– Ideally you will have a background of working within residential settings. A good attention to detail delivering a high standard of cleanliness with good attention to detail
- KNOWLEDGE – A good understanding of relevant and health and safety requirements, or a willingness to learn, including knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment and how to use them
- COMMUNICATION – Excellent communication, fostering a respectful, collaborative and professional approach to a diverse range of people who you work alongside always ensuring confidentiality
- EMPATHY and RESPECT – The ability to empower people using our services, showing empathy whilst maintaining professional boundaries
- COMMITMENT – The ability to work in an innovative and solutions focused way, including reflecting and learning as you go whilst showing a willingness to adapt in approaches to making a difference to people who matter.
- ORGANISATION – Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage to prioritise tasks
- PASSIONATE – about making a difference to People who Matter.
What is a nice to have
- Experience of working within residential settings
- Knowledge of British Institute of Cleaning Science standards
- NVQ in relevant discipline
